TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, Aug. 28, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Boulter Fire is now 75 percent contained, and remains at 2,300 acres.

The fire, in the southeast corner of Tooele County, near the Juab County border, was first reported Saturday afternoon, and was spread by strong, erratic winds.

“Firefighters worked to secure the perimeter and mopped up hotspots along the line and interior,” says a post issued late Tuesday by Utah Fire Info.

“They also began repairing (the) suppression line secured yesterday. 101 personnel remain assigned to the fire.”

Firefighters now believe the Boulter Fire, which triggered temporary evacuations of nearby residents, was human caused.
