GRANTSVILLE, Utah, Dec. 17, 2017, (Gephardt Daily) — Two people were transported by helicopter to Salt Lake area hospitals in critical condition Sunday afternoon, after they were involved in a crash on Main Street at Orchard Lane in Grantsville.
According to information posted on Facebook by the Grantsville Police Department, officers were dispatched at about 3:20 p.m. to what was initially described as an auto-pedestrian accident.
When officers arrived and spoke with witnesses, it was determined that both people involved in the crash had been inside the vehicle.
“It appeared that the driver of the vehicle had been traveling westbound on Main Street when, for unknown reasons, veered across eastbound traffic and crashed into a tree, ejecting the passenger,” the Facebook post states.
No further information was available Sunday night.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
