UTAH COUNTY, Dec. 14, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah Highway Patrol investigators are on the scene of a fatal crash near Diamond Fork Road on US Highway 6.
According to Utah Highway Patrol Corporal Eddie Wright, one person was killed, four others were injured, with two of them in critical condition.
First responders from multiple agencies were dispatched to the scene at mile marker 184 at 2:14 p.m.
Initial reports indicated one of the crash victims was ejected from their vehicle, while at least one of the injured had to be extricated from the wreckage.
Wright said a medical helicopter had been dispatched to the crash site but was unable to land due to high winds.
U.S. Highway 6 is closed in both directions.
UDOT traffic cameras show snowy conditions in the area. It’s yet to be determined if traffic conditions played a role in the crash.
