MILLCREEK, Utah, Aug. 25, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — One person is dead after a shooting Sunday afternoon at a Millcreek apartment complex.
Unified Police were dispatched at about 2:30 p.m. to the Monaco Apartments, located near 430 E. 4100 South.
Officers arrived and found a male victim on the ground with a gunshot wound, they told reporters at a news conference. Unified Police officers rendered aid until paramedics arrived and took over.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries. Police believe the shooting may have been gang-related.
The suspect or suspects have not been identified. Police are asking anyone who may have a surveillance or doorbell recordings to notify law enforcement by calling 801-840-4000.
