
Sept. 5 (UPI) — A new tropical storm has formed behind Hurricane Irma the Atlantic Ocean.
Tropical Storm Jose is moving west-northwest at 13 mph, located 1,505 miles east of the Lesser Antilles while sustaining winds up to 40 mph, the National Hurricane Center said.
There are currently no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
The NHC adds, “Jose’s movement toward the west or west-northwest at a slightly faster rate of forward speed is expected during the next two days.”
Jose is the 10th tropical storm of the season so far.
