Jodi Arias Trial: Jury Has Reached a Verdict
BREAKING NEWS: The case of Jodi Arias has ended with a hung jury. The death penalty is no longer an option.
The judge in Phoenix, Arizona has declared a mistrial. The decision was announced after more than a week of contentious deliberations by jurors in a Maricopa County Superior Court.
Arias was originally found guilty of murder of her former lover Travis Alexander back in 2013, but the jury was deadlocked on her punishment.
A sentencing retrial started last October.
Earlier this week jurors notified the court that they were at an impasse, but the judge ordered them to continue deliberating.
