WEST HAVEN, Utah, May 3, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Weber County deputies say a dump truck slammed into an SUV being driven by a Fremont High School student Wednesday morning, and the truck pushed her vehicle 40 feet.

The 18 year old had to be cut out of her SUV, and was transported by Life Flight to an area hospital for treatment of internal bleeding and broken bones. She was in critical condition, but is expected to survive.

Investigators say the teen was on her way to school, and was turning at the intersection of 2550 South and 4700 West, when she was struck.

No one else was injured in the accident.
