ROCKVILLE, Utah, June 8, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Evacuation orders were lifted and no structures were damaged as the Rockville Fire grew to 73 acres Saturday, state wildfire officials said.
The human-caused wildfire was 20% contained Saturday morning as crews worked in hot temperatures and steep, rocky terrain to secure the perimeter of the fire line, according to Utah Fire Info.
Evacuations have been lifted, and state Route 9 has reopened, officials said.
The fire started Friday afternoon on private land within the Rockville city limits, fire officials said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
