HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA – September 22, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — Paramount Pictures has just released it trailer for “The Big Short,” starring Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Brad Pitt, and Ryan Gosling as four men who bet against the banks ahead of the 2008 financial crisis.
The film also stars Karen Gillan, Marisa Tomei, Selena Gomez and Melissa Leo.
This marks the first drama by Adam McKay, who has directed the comedies “Anchorman,” “Step Brothers,” and “The Other Guys.”
McKay along with Charles Randolph (“Love and Other Drugs”) wrote the screenplay based on the nonfiction book by Michael Lewis (“Moneyball”).
“The Big Short” will be released in selected theaters on December 25.
