NASHVILLE, April 12 (UPI) — Rapper Nelly was arrested for alleged felony possession of drugs, including meth, after a Tennessee state trooper pulled over his tour bus.

TMZ reported the vehicle was stopped Saturday because it didn’t have a necessary Department of Transportation sticker. The bus was searched after the trooper said he smelled marijuana.

Meth, marijuana and guns were allegedly recovered in the vehicle.

Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Iral Haynes, Jr., was also booked for misdemeanor marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. He has since been released on bond, Good Morning America said Sunday. The 40-year-old singer-songwriter is best known for his hit “Hot in Here.”
