WEST BOUNTIFUL, Utah, June 5, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A group left adrift after their canoe capsized in Bountiful Pond needed a water rescue from firefighters.
“Four people were assisted to shore Saturday after their canoe capsized at Bountiful Pond,” South Davis Metro Fire said online Tuesday in a press release posted as a cautionary tale.
Three fire vehicles were dispatched to the pond, also known as Bountiful Lake, “after occupants were unable to upright the canoe,” South Davis Metro said.
All four were wearing life jackets and were unharmed.
“Great reminder if you recreate in, or around water, please remember your personal flotation devices !”
