
SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 15, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City firefighters were mopping up hot spots near I-80 and Redwood Road after a fast-moving grass fire threatened nearby structures.
Firefighters were first called to the scene around 7:30 p.m. Monday. When they arrived they found the hilly embankment just north and east of the I-80/Redwood Road exit engulfed in flames.
Traffic on I-80 westbound was reduced to two lanes while firefighters knocked down the flames.
There were no reports of injuries.
