SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Oct. 12, 2024 (Gephardt Daily)  — Two juvenile robbery suspects, ages 16 and 14, have been arrested by Salt Lake City Police for allegedly robbing multiple convenience stores.

According to a Saturday morning news release, “The investigation began at approximately 12:53 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, when officers assigned to the Liberty Patrol Division took a report of a convenience store armed robbery near 500 East and 2100 South.”

Three days later, officers located the two alleged suspects near 1400 S. Utahna Drive and took them into custody.

“Over the course of several weeks, detectives worked with the district attorney’s office, which, on behalf of the state, filed six counts of robbery against the 16-year-old and eight counts of robbery against the 14-year-old.”

The case was assigned to the SLCPD Violent Crimes and Robbery Unit, the news release said, and the male teens were booked into the Salt Lake Valley Detention Center.

“Because the suspects are juveniles, no other information is being released about the suspects.”
