Magnitude 2.6 quake rattles Morgan County

MORGAN COUNTY, Utah, Jan. 6, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — A magnitude 2.6 earthquake hit rural northern Utah Monday morning in southern Morgan County, about 9 miles north-northwest of Summit Park.

The microquake occurred at 4:04 a.m. at a depth of nearly 7 miles, according to information from the U.S. Geological Survey.

Four people reported feeling the quake through the USGS “did you feel it” web page.

No damage or injuries were reported.
