HURRICANE, Utah, Sept. 23, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating after a man fatally shot his wife then turned the gun on himself in Hurricane Wednesday.
Dispatch received a call at 6:03 a.m. from a man who stated he had just shot his wife and was going to shoot himself, according to a statement by the Hurricane Police Department.
Officers responded to the residence and established a perimeter, then attempted to contact the man several times by telephone, police said.
“Officers eventually entered the home and found an elderly male and female deceased. The scene was processed by investigators and the bodies of the deceased were taken by the medical examiner,” according to police.
The names of the deceased are not being released at this time pending next of kin.
“This investigation is ongoing and no other information is available for release at this time,” Hurricane Police said.
