SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 16, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A man has been taken into custody after a Key Bank in downtown Salt Lake City was robbed Wednesday morning.
Salt Lake City Police Department Sgt. Brandon Shearer told Gephardt Daily that a suspect entered the Key Bank at 410 E. 400 South just after 10 a.m. and demanded and was given cash.
It does not appear at this time that a weapon was brandished or intimated.
The suspect fled in an unknown direction, but was located approximately an hour later and taken into custody, Shearer said. It’s not clear at this stage whether he fled on foot or in a vehicle.
The suspect’s identity has not been released. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
