SNOWBIRD, Utah, March 21, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A Murray who man died in a skiing accident Sunday afternoon at Snowbird Ski Resort has been identified.
Unified Police Detective Ken Hansen said 57-year-old Jeff Gentry was an experienced skier on an outing with friends around 3 p.m. when the accident happened.
According to the skier’s companions, the man was skiing down the slopes at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his skis and slammed into a rock.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
