CACHE COUNTY, Utah, Nov. 2, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A 37-year-old North Logan man has been arrested on suspicion of felony physical child abuse.
Richard Martinez was arrested and booked into the Cache County Jail on four counts of second-degree felony physical child abuse, the Cache County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
According to the news release, the sheriff’s office, with the assistance of the North Park Police Department, executed a search warrant Friday morning on a home near the intersection of 2200 North and 700 East, in North Logan. Both agencies worked together to obtain the search warrant, the release states.
Martinez was subsequently booked into jail.
The victim was removed from the home by the Division of Child and Family Services when the abuse was first suspected.
Detectives are still conducting interviews and processing evidence in the ongoing investigation.
