TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, April 30, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A Roy woman died Saturday evening in a single-car accident on Interstate 80 in Tooele County.
A gray SUV was traveling eastbound I-80 at about 5 p.m. Saturday near mile marker 74 when the vehicle drifted left onto the dirt shoulder.
The driver over-corrected to the right, and the vehicle left the roadway and flipped several times. The driver was ejected, and died at the scene.
The Utah Highway Patrol has identified the woman as 67-year-old Huong Tran Ngo of Roy.
Investigators are looking into the possibility that an improperly worn seat belt contributed to the driver’s death.
