UTAH, Dec. 22, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — A snowstorm expected to continue until Wednesday is causing road closures and accidents throughout the state.
Utah Highway Patrol has responded to around 70 crashes throughout the Wasatch Front.
UHP reported the following crash totals, as of Tuesday afternoon.
Weber County: 40 crashes (one injury)
Davis County: 16 crashes (two injuries)
Salt Lake County: 16 crashes (two injuries)
Utah County: no crashes
Sundance Resort Tweeted that SR-92 from American Fork Canyon to Provo Canyon was closed; it reopened around 4 p.m. Sundance Resort mountain will also be closed Tuesday.
In addition, Utah Avalanche Center Tweeted that the Provo area mountains are very dangerous, with 4.24 inches of water weight added to weak snowpack.
Utahns can now track accidents and snow plows in real time thanks to a new feature on the Utah Department of Transportation’s app.

The National Weather Service Salt Lake City is also warning that a cold front will bring another round of snow to the entire Wasatch Front late Tuesday through Wednesday morning. The service warns that unlike Tuesday, this snow is expected to accumulate on area roadways, including the lower valleys.
