TOOELE, Utah, DEC. 27, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Tooele City Police Department has released the name of the woman fatally injured Christmas night after being struck by a pickup truck near Skyline Drive and Main Street.
According to an update by TCPD, the victim has been identified as Elizabethann Burns, 32, from Roosevelt, Utah.
Tooele City officers were originally responding to reports of a “disorderly female” at a local business about 10:15 p.m. when they received word of an auto-pedestrian crash involving a pickup truck.
“Emergency responders provided life-saving measures, but unfortunately, the victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene,” TCPD said in a Thursday press release.
The initial investigation revealed the pickup truck was southbound when Burns was hit and she “was not in a crosswalk at the time of the collision.”
Tooele City PD says their “investigation is complete, and the case has been referred to the Tooele County Attorney’s Office for screening of potential charges.”
