UTAH, Dec. 9, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health reported 23 deaths from COVID-19 for the second consecutive day Wednesday.
There have been 2,574 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and patients hospitalized now number 581.
Utah’s total deaths now stand at 995, and cumulative cases number 222,545.
Total hospitalizations since the beginning of the pandemic number 9,105.

- A female, older than 85, Box Elder County resident, not hospitalized at time
- A female, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- A male, older than 85, Davis County resident, long-term care facility resident
- A male, between 65-84, Weber County resident, long-term care facility resident
- A female, older than 85, Cache County resident, long-term care facility resident
- 3 males, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- A female, between 45-64, Box Elder County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- A female, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time death
- A male, between 15-24, Utah County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
