WEBER COUNTY, Utah, Dec. 1, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The Weber County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team assisted in the rescue of some of man’s best friends Sunday afternoon.
The volunteers were at the Monte Cristo trailhead preparing for the winter season after all the new snow that fell during Thanksgiving week, according to a Weber County SAR Facebook post.
Also in the area were Utah State Parks employees, and they relayed the information to SAR that two people — Kat Perry and Cory Holt — needed help rescuing some Great Pyrenees puppies they had found while snowmobiling in the Ant Flat area.
SAR responded with a rescue sled and helped the pair rescue the stranded pups.
“Kat has already made plans with the Hope’s Rescue group to find good homes for the puppies,” the SAR post said.
God Bless all who saved these fur babies!!
I would love to give one of them a home please.
This makes me ill that someone would abandon these puppies in a remote area. There are so many rescues willing to take unwanted dogs. Thank God, this wonderful couple found them and saved them.
