OGDEN, Utah, June 11, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Weber State University has lifted a code purple blue order issued Tuesday morning that involved a section of the south part of the main campus.

Earlier social media posts said Weber State police were responding to an “ongoing but isolated incident” near the Hurst Center, and asked people in that building to shelter in place, and people at two Wildcat Village buildings to move to different locations.

An update came in a 1:31 p.m. post.

“Police activities involving one individual at the Hurst Center have ceased and there is no threat to the rest of campus or the public. Wildcat Village will be re-opened and Hurst Center employees should await further guidance from supervisors.”

Gephardt Daily will have more information as it is released.
