WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Sept. 25, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Police say they are still collecting evidence and witness interviews after the shooting death of a man found Tuesday night.

West Valley City police were dispatched at about 9:30 p.m. after a passerby spotted a person with an apparent gunshot wound lying in a parking lot of an apartment complex near 3300 South and 1200 West.

“A 29 y/o man was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim has been identified, however notifying his next of kin has been challenging,” the WVCPD said Wednesday morning on social media.

“The victim is not a resident of Utah. He was visiting someone who lives in the apartment complex. Evidence gathered so far indicates this was a targeted incident. No arrests have been made as of yet. Anyone with information is asked to call 801-840-4000.”
