North Yorkshire Police shared a photo to Twitter showing a black Mini Cooper crashed into a metal railing. The post stated that the driver fled the scene, hiding in a nearby shed which was housing a nativity scene.
“Driver runs from RTC in [Tadcaster] and tries to hide in nativity display. Located and arrested,” the post read.
After being tracked down by police the driver failed a roadside breath test and was taken into police custody.
