March 30 (UPI) — A massive cobra in India gratefully accepted a refreshing bottle of water from a group of villagers in the midst of a drought.
Video shared to YouTube by Caters Clips shows the 12-foot-long rescued cobra calmly accepting the cool drink in a village in Kaiga township.
The rescuers offered the snake water almost immediately, as animals in the area had been deprived of water due to a drought in the region.
A man can be seen holding the cobra by the tail while another man, holding a hook, gently pours water over the its head.
The giant cobra then proceeds to hold its head still as the man pours a steady stream of water into its mouth.
Onlookers applauded as the thirsty cobra enjoyed the refreshing drink.
