SLC police seek help identifying man who took Lamborghini left unlocked with keys inside

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 12, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Detectives with the Salt Lake City Police Department’s auto theft and airport divisions are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who stole a Lamborghini from a garage at the Salt Lake City International Airport.

At 6:42 a.m. Sunday, the owner of the Lamborghini called police to report their car had been stolen from the short-term parking area.

The blue 2023 Lamborghini Urus had a Utah plate number G829TV. The car had been parked on June 1, and the owner returned on June 9 to find it missing.

“Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives believe the suspect flew into Salt Lake City on June 3, 2024,” an SLCPD statement says.

“The suspect went to the airport’s parking garage and started checking car doors.When the suspect came across the Lamborghini, he found the car unlocked with the keys inside, allowing him to steal the car. The Lamborghini is valued at approximately $234,000.”

Detectives are asking community members for help.

“Community members are reminded to always lock their cars, remove all valuables, keep windows rolled up, and never leave your keys inside your car.”
