FARMINGTON, Utah, Oct. 28, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Davis County Sheriff‘s Office is suspending its search for missing K-9 Kash.
“We have exhausted all ground and aerial searches,” the department posted on social media. “We have investigated every tip.
“We will continue to follow up on leads and will keep his information available on social media and through flyers that have been distributed throughout Farmington and surrounding areas.
“This, of course, is not what we hoped for.”
The department speculates that someone may have taken in the wayward pooch, who went missing on Monday, Oct. 21, when he was escorted to the area outside the sheriff’s office, in Farmington, for a chance to relieve himself.
Kash, a year-old year-old German shorthair pointer, took off, and has not been spotted by law enforcement agents since.
“We believe that someone may have him and does not realize he is a missing police K-9,” the DCSO statement says.
“If you have information on Kash and his whereabouts, please call Davis Dispatch at 801-451-4150.”
