GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Dec. 21, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The search for a woman who went missing during a Grand Canyon National Park bus tour is ongoing after she disappeared on Dec. 10.
Martha Overholser, 66, was last seen at Mather Point on the South Rim, and later failed to return on a commercial bus tour.
Overholser is believed to have walked west from the Mather Point area, possibly towards the Bright Angel Lodge or Hermits Rest, a National Park Service statement says.
Overholser is described as a white female, 5 feet 2 inches tall and 110 pounds. She has gray hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a long off-white coat and a gray hooded sweatshirt, and carrying a navy-blue bag.
Anyone who may have seen Overholser is asked to contact the NPS ISB Tip Line at 888-653-0009 or email [email protected].
A missing person investigation is on-going and no further information is available at this time, the statement adds.
