DENVER, March 10 (UPI) — That ’70s Show stars Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson are teaming up once again for Netflix’s upcoming comedy sitcom, The Ranch.
The streaming service released the first trailer for the show Thursday, featuring the duo as brothers working and living on a ranch with their father played by Sam Elliot.
“Set in the present day on a Colorado ranch, The Ranch stars Ashton Kutcher as Colt, a failed semi-pro football player who returns home to run the family ranching business with his older brother Jameson “Rooster” (Danny Masterson) and father Beau (Sam Elliott), whom he hasn’t seen in 15 years,” reads the series official synopsis.
“Maybe I’m the good luck charm this family needs,” Kutcher says in the clip before it starts raining and lightening strikes their barn setting it on fire.
“Our relationship is contentious, but the history of Danny and my friendship bleeds into the characters,” Kutcher said of his starring role alongside Masterson to Entertainment Weekly. “They’re best friends, but they [expletive] hate each other.”
The Ranch debuts on Netflix April 1.
