Angels Landing trail in Zion National Park temporarily closed after rockfall

SPRINGDALE, Utah, Nov. 17, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The Angels Landing trail in Zion National Park is closed Sunday, officials said.

“A small rockfall occurred on the chained section,” said a tweet from the park. “Our trail crew is evaluating the conditions today. The West Rim trail is open, but you may not go beyond Scout Lookout toward Angels Landing.”

Also closed due to damage and ongoing trail work are Lower Emerald Pools, Observation Point (East Rim from Weeping Rock), Hidden Canyon and Weeping Rock trail and shuttle stop #7 .
