SODA SPRINGS, Idaho, Oct. 3, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Cache County Sheriff Chad Jensen is in stable condition after sustaining a gunshot injury to his left hand while hunting in Idaho over the weekend.
A Facebook post from Cache County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened on Saturday, and Jensen was transported by Life Flight to the University of Utah hospital where a hand trauma team was assembled.
The post said: “Sheriff Jensen plans on being back to work shortly and appreciates the excellent capabilities of the Cache County Sheriff’s Office administration, deputies, and staff to handle the operations of the office in his absence. Sheriff Jensen and his family appreciate the outpouring of support they have received from so many people.”
