Deputies seek masked man accused of fleeing on four-wheeler in Payson

PAYSON, Utah, Aug. 2, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying a man who allegedly fled from deputies on a four-wheeler but dropped a clown mask in the process.

Two men were on the four-wheeler about 10:45 p.m. July 25 when deputies say it fled from them in Payson.

“One of them dropped a mask as they fled,” the sheriff’s office stated on social media. “Someone wearing a mask like the one found has been seen around Payson on a 4-wheeler, including at Fast Gas near Smith’s.”

Police shared surveillance photos of the masked man at the gas station, as well as a deputy modeling the mask that was found.
