Driver flown to hospital after dump truck rolls down ravine

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah, June 18, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A driver was hospitalized Tuesday after his dump truck rolled down a ravine.

“Today, just before 11 a.m. North Summit Fire District and Park City Fire District were dispatched to a traffic accident involving a dump truck,” North Summit said in a Tuesday afternoon online press release.

“The truck went 200 feet off Tollgate Canyon Road down a ravine.”

The driver of the truck was pinned in the cab and had to be extracted, North Summit said.

He was transported by helicopter ambulance to a Salt Lake Valley trauma center.
