EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah, June 7, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — An Eagle Mountain man was knocked unconscious after lightning struck near him Sunday morning.
“A man and woman were walking on a trail near Orrin Circle in Eagle Mountain City
about 10 a.m. when lightning struck behind the man, knocking him unconscious,” said a tweet from Utah County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Spencer Cannon. “Unified Fire Authority responded and Intermountain Life Flight flew him to a hospital. He is expected to survive.”
The wife of the man who was knocked unconscious was also impacted but not seriously, the tweet said.
