MAPLETON, Utah, Jan. 19, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Mapleton City firefighters were dispatched at 2:50 a.m. Sunday to a vehicle fire.
“Upon arrival, crews found one truck and a trailer, inside of a carport, fully involved in fire,” a news release from the department says.
“A nearby house and multiple propane tanks were also threatened by the fire.”
Units from Springville Fire, Spanish Fork Fire and Provo Fire were requested.
“Despite the 14 degree overnight temperature and a frozen fire hydrant, the fire was kept only to the carport and involved vehicles,” the release says. “No injuries were reported, and the fire is under investigation.”
