CEDAR CITY, Utah, Nov. 3, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A fundraising account has been established to pay for the funeral of Eduardo Gutierrez Nava, and to help with expenses for the loved ones who survive him.

Gutierrez Nava, 35, was last seen Monday of last week as he left his work shift on his Ducati street motorcycle. After multiple searches, his body was found Saturday off State Route 14.

“Continued search efforts this morning resulted in locating the body of Mr. Gutierrez Nava,” a Cedar City Police statement says. “Preliminary investigative findings indicate he crashed and passed away as a result of the accident.”

“Investigative efforts are ongoing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time, and we extend our deepest condolences for their tragic loss.”

The fundraiser pays tribute to Gutierrez Nava, “known to many as ‘Eddie,’ who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident,” the GoFundMe page says.

“Eddie is remembered as a dedicated father, an honored Marine, and someone deeply cherished by his family and friends. The funds raised will go toward covering funeral expenses to support Eduardo’s family and his young son.”

As in all cases, Gephardt Daily cannot guarantee funds will be used in the way stated. GoFundMe guarantees funds for one year. For information, click on the guarantee icon on the page.
