SPANISH FORK, Utah, April 28, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — The Spanish Fork Police Department is looking for suspected gang members who vandalized at least seven sites and four vehicles in a west side neighborhood.
Three of the vehicles tagged belonged to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office and Spanish Fork Police Department, and were parked outside the homes of officers.
One or more of the markings depicted in spray paint appeared to be a gang symbol. The amount of graffiti done in one night is unusually large for Spanish Fork, officials have said.
“Last night there were several incidents of graffiti in the southwest part of town,” said a Facebook message posted Friday by the Spanish Fork Public Safety page.
“If you saw anything suspicious, have personal surveillance footage you could check, or have any information regarding these crimes, please contact us at 801-804-4700.”
Photos posted on that site and on the Spanish Fork Community News Facebook page show images of fences, walls and some of the vehicles defaced.
Officials are reviewing surveillance video they have so far, which captured two men, estimated to be in their late teens to early 20s, recording as they fled through the area.
