WEBER COUNTY, Utah, Oct. 11, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) – Investigators in Weber County are working to determine the cause of a fire early Friday morning that caused $100K in damage to a Marriott-Slaterville home.
Firefighters from multiple jurisdictions were called to the residence about 3 a.m. When crews arrived, they found the home’s attached garage, along with vehicles both inside and outside the structure, fully engulfed in heavy smoke and flames.
Seven people and their pets escaped uninjured, according to firefighters on scene.
While the garage was destroyed, the rest of the home, with the exception of an attic area, was spared.
Firefighters from the Weber Fire District were joined by crews from Ogden City Fire, Roy City Fire, Hill Air Force Base, and HAFB Little Mountain.
The scene has been turned over to investigators from the Weber Fire District Fire Marshal’s Office.
