SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, Nov. 22, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle and critically injured Thursday night in South Salt Lake has died of his injuries.
Detective Alvarez, South Salt Lake Police, said the accident happened at about 8:42 p.m. at 3116 S. State.
“The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he unfortunately passed away from those injuries,” said Alvarez, adding that the victim was a 52-year-old man.
“The driver of the vehicle is a 43-year-old female who’s cooperating with the investigation,” he said.
The man was not in a crosswalk, Alvarez said. An investigative team was expected to be on the scene until midnight or later.
