UPD stated that a female suspect knocked on the door while two male suspects waited around the corner.

Once the door was opened, the two male suspects forced their way inside. The female did not enter the apartment.

At some point, one of the suspects shot the victim, then both fled with the female and ran east, police said.

The female suspect, Tonita Vainay Rico, also known as Tonita Espinoza, was later taken into custody.

The other man has yet to be identified and remains at large.
