STRAWBERRY RESERVOIR, Utah, July 7, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Two people were hospitalized, one in critical condition, after a recreational vehicle pulling a boat ran into a semi early Sunday afternoon.
Trooper Heywood, Utah Highway Patrol, told Gephardt Daily the RV was turning west onto U.S. 40 from Strawberry Road, near Strawberry Reservoir, when the collision occurred at about 12:15 p.m.
The RV driver was transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital, Heywood said. The RV’s passenger suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.
The driver of the semi was treated on scene for minor injuries, Heywood said.
The roadway was closed for several hours, but has reopened, he said at 3:45 p.m.
