SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – August 5, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Salt Lake City residents are reminded that the vote-by-mail postmark deadline for the 2015 Municipal Primary Election is August 10.
The Salt Lake County Clerk’s Office, the agency administering the election process, mailed 71,822 ballots to registered Salt Lake City voters in mid-July.
As of Tuesday, August 4, a total of 17,313 voters – or roughly 24% – have submitted ballots.
“We want to make absolutely certain that Salt Lake City voters are aware of all the applicable deadlines in this new vote-by-mail process.” said Salt Lake City Recorder Cindi Mansell.
If a prospective voter misses the August 10 postmark deadline, drop box locations are open on Election Day, August 11.
