UINTAH, Utah, Aug 24, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Weber County Sheriff officials were called to the scene just after 4 a.m. Saturday morning after reports of shots fired at a Uintah residence rented as an Airbnb.

Police responded to the area of 6800 South and 1850 East.

“During the fight, several shots were fired,” says a statement released by the WCSO.

“The people involved immediately fled in vehicles. A short time later deputies learned a male had checked into a local hospital with a possible stab wound and was in stable condition.”

Detectives were called to the scene to interview witnesses and process the scene, the statement says.

“This appears to be an isolated incident and there does not appear to be any outstanding threat to the residents of this neighborhood.

“We would like to thank all the outside agencies who responded to assist our deputies. We would also like to thank Weber Metro CSI for processing the scene and collecting evidence. No other injuries or property damage was reported.”

Weber County Sheriff officials ask that anyone with information or security camera footage contact them at 801-395-8221.
