SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Aug. 16, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The University of Utah is giving fans a chance to celebrate the start of the 2024-25 sports season with its annual Utah Athletics Fan Fest on Saturday.
The event runs from 7-9 p.m. at Rice-Eccles Stadium, and both admission and parking are free.
The event gives Utes fans a chance to interact with student-athletes and coaches from Utah’s athletic programs. It also features:
- Activities for kids and families on the football field
- An open house in the Ken Garff Red Zone, featuring the locker room and the Julie M. and David S. Layton Field Club
- The first official performance of the year by the Utah Marching Band and Spirit Squad
- Interviews with coaches and student-athletes by Bill Riley, the voice of the Utah athletics
Utes merchandise will be available for purchase in the Utah Red Zone and other areas on the field.
Concession stands also will be open at various locations throughout the stadium concourse.
Fans can park in the West Stadium and Guardsman Tailgate lots for free and enter through Gates A and D on the west and southwest perimeter of Rice-Eccles Stadium.
