MORGAN COUNTY, Utah, April 3, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A Morgan resident was arrested Sunday in connection with the distribution of drugs that caused the overdose and near death of a teenager last week, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.
The drug was a synthetic opioid, apparently similar to the drug that killed two Park City 13-year-olds in September 2016. The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is having it tested to determine exactly what it is.
Morgan Sheriff’s Sgt. Corey Stark confirmed that the suspect is Parker Pentz, 20, of Morgan.
According to the news release, “A subsequent investigation into the overdose led Deputies to the person who had provided the drug. Deputies obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence and executed the Warrant on Sunday afternoon.”
The release states that deputies removed marijuana, meth, and cocaine from the residence, as well as lists of transactions and the names of people Pentz is accused of selling to.
Pentz was located later, arrested and booked into jail on multiple drug charges along with charges of child endangerment and reckless endangerment.
