DAVIS COUNTY, Utah, April 25, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police said a Roy man who died Tuesday afternoon after his car left the Interstste 15 and collided with a tree may have suffered a medical issue.
The deceased has been identified as Jesse Buckley, 34, the Utah Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The incident occurred at mile post 343 at 4:40 p.m., the news release said, when a 2003 Buick driven by Buckley was traveling south on I-15 under favorable weather conditions.
“The driver and only occupant gradually drove off of the right hand shoulder and through a field fence,” the news release said. “The vehicle then drove down a ditch until the vehicle collided with a tree.”
It is suspected that Buckley most likely had suffered a medical issue prior to the crash, police said.
Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information becomes available.
