LYMAN, Wyo., Nov. 10, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The Wyoming Highway Patrol is investigating after a semi carrying cattle overturned and caught fire on Thursday evening.
The driver was transported to Evanston Regional Hospital.
The truck was hauling approximately 45 cows. Crews worked to contain the cows and extricate those still inside the trailer. About 13 cows died on scene. The truck was on Interstate 80, near Lyman, Wyo.
Traffic was being rerouted through the Bridger Valley as the cows are moved to a safe location and the wreckage cleared.
