LAYTON, Utah, July 14, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A home and multiple vehicles were damaged in a fire early Sunday near the Kays Creek Trail.
Crews responded just after 1:30 a.m. to a brush fire near the Kays Creek trailhead at 1450 East, according to the Layton City Fire Department on social media.
“Shortly after, reports indicated that a residential structure might also be involved,” the post says. “Additional units were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the first engine found a home and multiple vehicles in the driveway engulfed in flames, along with surrounding vegetation.”
Fire crews from North Davis, Kaysville, South Weber and Hill Air Force Base also responded to assist.
“We greatly appreciate the support that our neighboring agencies provide us during these incidents,” the post says.
